Afghan magician Rashid Khan was out of the action for about 4 months due to injury. The recently concluded game was his first match after the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.
Despite losing the match Rashid Khan was on fire. The legspinner picked up 3 wickets for 19 in his quota of 4 overs. Even after being out of action for a while, it hardly seemed to affect him, as he was all over Ireland.
The Afghan skipper created record for his country yesterday. He became the first ever player to pick up 350 wickets for Afghanistan.
Ireland also had their share of records made. Captain Paul Stirling became the first ever mens cricketer to hit 400 fours. The Irish skipper scored 25 in the match, and his total boundary count is currently 401.
