There has been a lot of debate about the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. Many people are wondering if India have been given an unfair edge.  The whole event is being held at one location for India in Dubai. This means that players won't get tired from travelling, and India will have a better idea of how the pitches are playing.  Rohit Sharma and Gautam Gambhir have denied these reports, but India's star fast bowler Mohammed Shami has said that the odds are in their favour.

Ahead of the tournament, Indian captain Rohit Sharma denied any favoritism from the ICC, saying, " This is not our home, this is Dubai. So, we don't play so many matches here. This is new for us too."

India head coach Gautam Gambhir was even more vocal, saying, " First of all, this is as neutral a venue for us as it is for any other team. We have not played here. I don't remember which tournament we played in this stadium last."

Despite these denials, Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami has acknowledged that playing all matches in Dubai is helping the team. " It has definitely helped us because we know the conditions and the behaviour of the pitch. It is a plus point that you are playing all the matches at one venue. The main thing is to gauge the conditions and know how the pitch behaves because you are playing at one venue and you can get to know it well," he admitted.

Concerns have also been made about the tournament plan.  Any team that wants to play India has to go to Dubai, even the champions, Pakistan.  The final, which was supposed to happen in Lahore, has also been moved to Dubai, allegedly because India are going to be there.
