Shaheen Shah Afridi bowled an absolute peach of a delivery to dismiss Jos Buttler in the T20 Blast at Trent Bridge in Nottingham. The delivery was so good that Jos Buttler could not react on time and got clean-bowled.
Shaheen Shah Afridi pitched in with an unplayable yorker and meanwhile, Jos Buttler tried to defend it in the first place but the decision got backfired. After Lancashire decided to bat first, the likes of Buttler and Phil Salt provided a flying start to the game.
The duo stitched together a quickfire 33 runs off just 3.2 overs. Just as when the duo were trying to take the game away from Nottinghamshire, Shaheen Shah Afridi showcased his sheer class as he got rid of Jos Buttle for 23 runs (3 fours).
Overall, Shaheen Shah Afridi registered 2/25 in 3 overs. On the other hand, Skipper Liam Livingstone top-scored with 34 off 20 balls including 2 fours. In the end, Lancashire were bowled out for 145 in 18.3 overs. Matthew Carter was the pick of the bowlers for Nottinghamshire as he registered 3/26 in his quota of four overs.
