Bangladesh all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin was not on the field at the start of the BPL. When he returned from injury, the return was eye-catching. However, Saifuddin was not included in the Sri Lanka series team. The team management has assured that Saifuddin will be included in the team if he continues to play well.

DPL is starting after BPL, Saifuddin wants to play well there too. The all-rounder spoke about his plans and preparations at a press conference on Sunday (March 10) while training for Abahani Limited. “We who are athletes do not have a substitute for performance. We must perform at the top level. I am working to keep that trend. I will not play well every day. But I will try to give my best.”

After BPL, Saifuddin is playing DPL also, but Saifuddin was not kept for the Sri Lanka series due to fitness issues. It is claimed that team management will not take a risk until he fully recovers from injury. Is Saifuddin not fit?

The star cricketer replied, “No comments. I want to play. Everyone wants me to play for the national team for a long time. Maybe too soon. I think the team wanted me well. It might have been difficult for me to return to the national team after playing so many high-intensity matches. Shoriful, Taskin got a break of 1 week. Those of us who played qualifiers or finals didn't get a break. Thinking about everything, thinking about my future, maybe this decision was taken. Still, I will try to give my best. If I play well in DPL, opportunities will come. There are more series to come. I'm not in too much of a hurry for that.”
