Speaking to the media at BCB's media plaza today, Saif said, “I never think of myself as a Test cricketer. I have always thought of myself as a three-version cricketer. So I don't know what happened (the first Test from the team, later considered a white ball player). I am trying to improve day by day. I try to improve whenever I get a chance.”

Saif has been kept in the standby list for the Asia Cup. If someone gets injured in the Asia Cup or the World Cup, Saif may get a chance. This year's Asia Cup will be held on August 30. Bangladesh will face Sri Lanka in their first match on August 31.
