Bangladesh spinner Rishad Hossain once again showed his worth in the middle of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025. He gave a game-changing effort as Lahore Qalandars beat Karachi Kings by 65 runs in a one-sided match at the National Stadium in Karachi.

With a great figure of 3 for 26, Rishad proved to be Lahore's best bowler and helped destroy Karachi's batting order, adding to his already impressive PSL reputation.

Lahore Qalandars got off to a great start when they won the toss and chose to bat first. Fakhar Zaman had a great game, hitting 76 off of 47 balls.  Daryl Mitchell was a great partner for him. With a smooth 75 from 41 tosses, Mitchell matched the momentum.

Even though they lost two early wickets for only 25 runs each, the pair kept the game steady and sped up nicely in the middle overs.  At one point, Sam Billings came in and scored 19 runs off of 10 balls, while Sikandar Raza stayed unbeaten on 10*.  When Rishad came in at the very end, he scored two runs off of three balls before being run out.

Lahore scored 201/6 in 20 overs, which gave Karachi a tough goal to reach.  For Karachi, Hasan Ali was great with the ball, taking 4 wickets. Abbas Afridi also got one.

Rishad had an instant effect.  When he came on in the eighth over, his first ball hit and got Karachi captain Shan Masood out. In the same over, he also got Irfan Khan out for just one run.  In his next over, he came back and bowled a sharp ball that got rid of Abbas Afridi. At the end of his first two overs, he had taken three wickets for just four runs.

Even though he gave up more runs in his third and fourth overs—11 and 12 runs, respectively, including a few fours from Khushdil Shah—Rishad finished his spell with excellent numbers: 3/26 from 4 overs, solidifying his position as Lahore's best bowler.

Karachi's innings never really got back on track after Rishad's wickets.  A short 48-run partnership between Khushdil Shah (unbeaten) and Hasan Ali (27 off 25) was the only good part of the chase.  Hasan was bowled out by Shaheen Shah Afridi to break the stand, and Adam Milne's late 16 off 7 wasn't enough.

Lahore beat Karachi Kings by a huge 65 runs after being bowled out for 136 runs in 19.1 overs.
