Delhi Capitals overcomed Punjab Kings challenge by 15 runs with the help of Riley Rossow's majestic knock in Dharmasala on 17th May (Wed).
PBKS winning the toss and elected to field first. After being put into bat on a batting paradise in Dharmasala, DC had a flying start. Courtesy skipper David Warner and Prithvi Shaw's onburst against the PBKS bowlers. The opening stand added 94 runs inside the halfway mark before Warner's departure of a blinder catch from Dhawan for 46 off 31 balls.
The other opener Shaw brought up his fifty but perished immediately after scoring the half century. Shaw played a brilliant knock of 54 from 38 balls.

The duo added 65 runs and was on a rampage mood in the death overs which helped DC finish the innings on high for 213-2.
Climbing the mountain, PBKS faltered earlier of their innings as they lost their skipper and opener Shikhar Dhawan in the first ball of the innings. Last match's centurion Prabhsimran consumed 19 balls to score 22 before seeing himself in the hands of Yash Dhull. Atharava Taide scored a fifty but that was a tad slow one on a belter of a pitch. He scored 55 off 42 before retiring hurt.
And then the English T20 firepower Liam monster Livingstone took the onus on his shoulders. He played like a lone warrior, got no support from other ends as wickets were falling apart. Livingstone rose to the occasion and played a glorious knock of 94 from 48 balls.
But without the help from other ends he couldn’t climb the mountain. At one point PBKS needed 38 from last 2 overs and the penultimate over was totally utilised by DC as they didn’t give Livingstone strike and picked up two wickets conceding only 5 runs and left PBKS chase 33 in the last over. Livingstone missed the first two ball and hit 2 sixes and a boundary and perished in the last ball and PBKS were short of only 15 runs.
