England have outclassed Oman by 9 wickets to keep their chances for Super-Eight. There were several records broken during the match.

Adil Rashid's brilliant 4 fer, with Mark Wood and Jofra Archer too shared 6 wickets together bundled Oman out for a meagre 47 runs. In reply, England chased down the total inside 4 overs to go past Scotland's NRR. They chased down the total in 3.1 overs, with 9 wickets in hands. Their NRR increased to +3.081, while Scotland's are +2.164. England's chances of reaching to the playoffs have increased a lot with this thumping victory. All England need to do is beating Namibia and pray for Australia's win over Scotland.

There were several records that were broken during the match. 

1. 101 Balls remaining when England reached their target of 48. It is the biggest win margin in terms of balls to spare at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup.

2. 47 Oman's total against England is the fourth lowest by any team in the Men's T20 World Cup. And this is Oman's lowest ever total in T20I Cricket. Their previous lowest was 78 all out against Nepal in 2022.

3. Phil Salt became the first batter to hit sixes off the first two balls of a men's T20I innings. He set the tone for England in the chase and Buttler bailed them out striking at 300 to kill the chase inside 4 overs.
