National team fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi met IG KP Moazzam Jahan Ansari at Central Police Office Peshawar and was accompanied by cricketer Arshad Khan.
Cricket players have a huge impact on the general public around the world. However, fans follow their favorite cricket stars religiously when it comes to the subcontinent.
In keeping with this spirit, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Police Department brought on board Shaheen Shah Afridi to promote a soft police image and bridge the trust gap between the police and the public.
According to details, the CCP police organized a ceremony in Peshawar earlier today. During the event, the CCP police named Shaheen Afridi as their "goodwill ambassador."
It should be noted that yesterday Shaheen Shah Afridi attended the sports gala held at the Prime Institute of Health and Sciences and shared the photos of the event on Twitter, informing fans of his heart's desire.
The event also witnessed a small inauguration ceremony where the CP Police appointed Shaheen Afridi as Honorary Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).
Shaheen Afridi paid homage to the martyrs of the CCP police at the event and praised the department's officers and officers currently on duty.
He also acknowledged that police are a thankless job. He said his father was a retired CCP police officer and his brothers are currently employed in the department. Shaheen also assured the KP police of the full support of the national cricket team.
The cricketer said the awarding of 40 fully-funded scholarships to deserving students of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by the institute's chairman, Abdul Wajid, was a commendable effort.
