One expelled and two suspended by MCC following Ashes battle with Australia
The incident occurred at lunch on the fifth day of the second Test, following the controversial dismissal of England's Jonny Bairstow by Australia wicketkeeper Alex Carey, who hurled the ball at the stumps at the conclusion of an over. Bairstow had already left his crease to confer with Ben Stokes, believing it to be a dead ball because the over had concluded, but he was ruled out.

After months of investigation, the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) has expelled the member at the center of the altercations with Australian players at Lord's during the second Ashes Test in July.
It was observed that the Lord's throng was hostile towards the visitors. The Australians were met with jeers as they exited the field for lunch, and television cameras captured an altercation between MCC members and Usman Khawaja and David Warner in the Long Room, prompting security to intervene.
The MCC informed its members in a written statement that, in addition to the lifetime prohibition, one member was suspended for four and a half years and another received a thirty-month suspension.
"The actions of the three individuals in the pavilion on the day in question fell well below the behavior expected from our members," the MCC said.
