No Rashid Khan in Afghanistan squad for Bangladesh Test
Rashid entered the field in the last match of the Sri Lanka series. But he is not included in the Test team for the tour of Bangladesh. Bangladesh and Afghanistan have played only one Test so far, which was won by the Afghans. Rashid led the team in that historic match and even won the man of the match with his all-round skills.

The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has announced the Afghanistan squad for the one-off Test against Bangladesh. Star cricketer Rashid Khan, who missed the first two matches of the recently-concluded Sri Lanka series due to injury, has not been named in the announced squad.
However, Rashid entered the field in the last match of the Sri Lanka series. But he is not included in the Test team for the tour of Bangladesh. Bangladesh and Afghanistan have played only one Test so far, which was won by the Afghans. Rashid led the team in that historic match and even won the man of the match with his all-round skills. Apart from Rashid, Fazalhaq Farooqi and another leg spinner Noor Ahmad are not in the team. Hashmatullah Shahidi is leading the team this time.
"Although he made a comeback in the series decider today, the team management & medical team have decided to prioritize his long-term fitness. Despite being fit, our selectors believe it is crucial not to rush his return. They have taken a cautious approach to ensure he receives adequate rest and rehabilitation allowing him to regain full fitness before the upcoming BCBtigers series, the ACC Asia Cup & the ICC CWC 2023,” the Afghanistan Cricket Board said on Twitter.
This Test will start on June 14 at Mirpur Stadium. Before that, Afghans will step into Bangladesh on June 10, after 3 days of practice, they will come down to play Tests. The only Test at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, known as the 'Home of Cricket', will continue until June 18, with daily play starting at 10 am BST.
