In a recent interview, Sunil Narine, a great player for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), explained the reason behind his muted and composed celebrations after he took a wicket.

In the midst of talking, the KKR star referred to the wise advice that he had received from his father, which enabled him to keep his cool and remain completely composed.

"Growing up, a lesson that I got from my Dad was that if you get someone out today. You still have to play them tomorrow and next time. So I think its just enjoy the moment as much as you can but not overdo it," Narine said.

Narine has also shown his batting prowess in the current IPL 2024 season, with 461 runs (including his first T20 century against Rajasthan Royals) and a fifth-place in the Orange Cap list. But Narine's mysterious spin, which has continued to confound batters, is his principal talent, apart from batting. Despite the batting storms in the IPL this season, Narine still managed to pick up 14 wickets with an economy rate of just 6.6 runs per over.

Narina has been playing for KKR for a decade now. So he has a big connection with the franchise. "Since the first day, I've been loving and enjoying being here. It's been the same team since the start and playing all over the world with different Knights Riders franchises has been great,” added Narine.
