The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is knocking at the door. The most magnificent domestic cricket tournament in the country will be held at night. All seven teams have prepared well before entering the field.
Mashrafe Bin Mortaza is the captain of Sylhet Strikers in BPL. Mohammed Mithun has been made vice-captain. Mashrafe has not joined the team yet. As a result, Mithun spoke to the media today (January 18). Along with informing the team's plans and status, he also expressed his desire to improve himself as well as the domestic cricketers.
Talking to the media, Mithun said, “The purpose of the tournament is to improve our local cricketers. Of course, there is always room for domestic players (to do well). Because we have the only tournament with TV coverage, it is called our biggest stage. The highlights are good if you perform here. That's why all our cricketers try to perform best in BPL so that they can come to the discussion.”
Apart from this, Mithun applauded the decision to have DRS from the beginning in BPL, “We as players are busy preparing how we can do well. We are looking into that. If you tell the difference, it was said in the team meeting yesterday that DRS is there from the beginning. This is certainly something to applaud.'
Sylhet Strikers are starting their BPL campaign with a match against Chattogram Challengers on January 19 tomorrow.
