Bangladesh are eagerly preparing for the challenge, and in a notable development, Major Raiyan Azad of Bangladesh has been appointed as the Anti-Corruption Unit Manager by the ICC for the series.
The South African cricket team is scheduled to land in Dhaka on October 16. Following a day of rest on October 17, both teams will begin their preparation for the series, with practice sessions starting on October 18. These sessions will take place over three days, sharpening the squads for the competitive Test series ahead.
The first of the two Test matches will be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, starting on October 21. Known as the "Home of Cricket" in Bangladesh, this iconic venue will host the teams in what promises to be an intense and exciting opener.
If the match concludes within five days, the teams will travel to Chattogram, where the second Test will be held at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium. South Africa will have practice sessions on October 27 and 28 before the second Test kicks off on October 29.
Both matches will be critical for the ICC Test Championship, and after the conclusion of the second Test, South Africa is scheduled to depart Bangladesh on November 3.
