Zimbabwe lost 7 wickets within 41 runs after batting first. Then, Clive Madande and Wellington Masakadza’s fight gave them a decent total of 124 runs. But then they dropped too many chances when Bangladesh came to chase. They dropped Tanzid Hasan Tamim’s catch when he was at 4 and later Tanzid played a match-winning innings. At the end of the match, Madande expressed regret about the batting and fielding.
" We lost the chances which we should have taken and the game slipped a bit away from us. We took a wicket upright but still if we had taken the chances it would have been a different game,” Madande said.
Madande also talked about to turn around in the next match. “I think seeing the condition, we will try to be better in the next game. We will try to comeback little bit of better than today. We need solve our upfront batting. We just don’t have to loss too many wickets and take our chances. This is where we have to work. Bangladesh played really well. We can't complain about that much. We have to prepare for the next match and understand the wicket and play well,” Madande added.
