After a fierce fight between two Rupganj teams, the Legends of Rupganj beat the Rupganj Tigers by 172 runs in the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League (DPL) on Tuesday.

Rupganj Tigers won the toss and chose to bowl first in the game, which took place at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.  But it didn't work out as planned because Legends of Rupganj scored 298 runs in 50 overs, which was a very good score.  Jaker Ali Anik had an important game. He was unbeaten on 73 runs off 85 balls.  Tanzid Hasan Tamim got things going early on with a good 61 off 59 balls, and Samiun Bashir Ratul made sure the end was strong with 40 runs off 34 balls.  AKM. Husna Habib Mehedi, a bowler for the Rupganj Tigers, had the best game, taking two wickets.

Rupganj Tigers had a hard time scoring when they were trying to reach a goal of 299. Their batting order fell apart under pressure.  Opener Abdul Mazid put up some fight by getting 43 runs off of 77 balls, but the other team kept losing wickets.  Ariful Haque scored 25 runs off of 31 balls, and Mahmudul Hasan scored 11 runs off of 46 balls but couldn't get going.  Only 126 runs were scored in 34.2 overs, which gave Legends of Rupganj a comfortable win.

It was a great bowling performance by Legends of Rupganj, led by Samiun Bashir Ratul, who took five wickets.  Two wickets were taken by Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Tanvir Islam, and one was taken by Sheikh Mahedi Hasan.
