Pakistan have piled up 259 runs, with the fall of five wickets on day 1 of second Test. Kamran Ghulam's incredible hundred on his debut helped Pakistan get a solid start of the second Test.
Kamran Ghulam scored a sensational hundred on debut steered Pakistan to 259 on day 1 in second Test.
Opting to bat first, Pakistan lost Abdullah Shafique earlier to Jack Leach. Captain Shan Masood too departed without disturbing the scoreboard. Opener Saim Ayub and Kamran Ghulam stitched a marathon 149-run stand betwern them. Saim scored his highest individual score in the Test Cricket. Ayub made a fantastic 77 off 160 deliveries before falling to Matthew Potts.
On the contrary, debutant Kamran Ghulam notched up a glorious century on debut with some delightful shots. He made 118 off 224 balls before being knocked over to Shoaib Bashir.
Saud Shakeel too couldn't get runs as he fell to Brydon Carse. Mohammad Rizwan and Agha Salman saw off the day carefully and helped Pakistan go through the day without having further fall of wickets.
Pakistan are on 259-5 and they've Mohammad Rizwan being unbeaten on 37* off 89 balls and Agha Salman is also there, who scored fifties both of the innings. Pakistan will rely on both of the batters to stretch the scoreboard and give Pakistan a formidable total.
