Junaid Khan mocks IPL after SRH vs MI match
Sunrisers Hyderabad started off strong and scored 277/3 in 20 overs, which is the best score in the 17-year history of the IPL. The MI bowlers looked like they had no idea what they were doing.

All over the world, T20 events favour batters, and the IPL is no different. Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians faced off on March 27 and scored the most runs in the event. Former Pakistani fast bowler Junaid Khan didn't like it. He made fun of and questioned the standards of the world's best T20 league.
Sunrisers Hyderabad started off strong and scored 277/3 in 20 overs, which is the best score in the 17-year history of the IPL. The MI bowlers looked like they had no idea what they were doing. The batters for MI tried hard, but it wasn't enough to beat such a big score. Mumbai's players also played well when they were trying to beat the record score, but they fell short by 31 runs. In 20 overs, the five-time winners scored 246/5.
“Flat pitches, small boundaries, quick outfield. This is called IPL A target of 278,” Junaid Khan wrote on X.
After a spectacular performance of power-hitting by SRH opener Travis Head (62 off 24) and number three Abhishek Sharma (63 off 23), the latter managed to take the franchise record for the quickest fifty from the Australian in a matter of minutes.
The pyrotechnics in the end came from Heinrich Klaasen (80 not out off 34 balls), which helped SRH smash an 11-year-old record.
The previous IPL record was set by Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2013 with a score of 263 for five. In a T20 competition, it was also the greatest total ever recorded.
