Abahani annihilated Gazi Tayres by a massive margin of 146 runs. Fifties from Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Sabbir Rahman and Jaker Ali, brilliant bowling from Mosaddek Hossain hand Abahani a huge 146 run victory. With the win, they now have won 2 matches in a row in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL).

Abahani lost the toss and were inserted to bat first at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium. Abahani faltered earlier on as they lost Naim Sheikh for 8 off 7 deliveries to the young pace sensation of Gazi Tyre Iqbal Hossain Emon. Despite losing a quick wicket, Sabbir Rahman kept batting with his aggressive style.

Mahmudul Hasan Joy gave gim good partner.
They added 66 runs inside the first powerplay. Sabbir was aggressive like the previous match. Sabbir notched up his fifty off just 42 balls. Sabbir unfortunately got out on two shy of hundred to Iftie. The partnership of Joy and Sabbir was worth of 169 runs. Sabbir's innings was orchestrated with 10 fours and 4 sixes.
Afif Hossain then gave good support to Joy. Mahmudul Hasan Joy was trapped LBW on his individual 73 runs off 105 deliveries. Afif Hossain couldn’t prolong his innings as he got out to Iftie on 29 off 36 balls.

Mosaddek Hossain couldn’t get going as he managed to add just 7 runs off 5 balls. Jaker Ali Anik utilised the foundation given by Joy and Sabbir. Jaker Ali blazed a glorious 76 off only 48 balls. And helped Abahani post a massive 343 runs.

In reply, Gazi Tyres were never in the huge chase. They kept losing wickets on regular intervals. Skipper Tahjibul Islam scored a fine 58 run knock. Barring him no one stood up for something huge. They Gazi Tyre only managed to score 163 runs and hence lost the match by 146 runs. Mosaddek and Khaled Ahmed picked up 3 wickets respectively.
