With the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) fast approaching, attention turns to the upcoming captain's meeting in Mumbai. Set for Thursday, March 20, 2025, all 10 IPL captains will gather at the BCCI headquarters for an important pre-season briefing. The meeting will take place at noon and will also include team managers from each franchise, setting the stage for the TATA IPL 2025, which kicks off on March 22.

According to Cricbuzz This four-hour session is set to provide the captains and team management with updates on the latest changes and regulations for the upcoming season. Interestingly, while the annual meeting traditionally takes place in the city hosting the season opener this time the BCCI has chosen Mumbai as the venue signaling the possibility of significant discussions beyond the routine review of rules.

The captains meeting will conclude with the traditional pre-tournament photo shoot featuring all the captains. With the IPL 2025 opener scheduled between defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at Eden Gardens the captains are already preparing to join their respective team camps.
