India had to give it their all in the end to secure a win against Hong Kong in their first match of the Asia Cup.

The side who won the toss in this Asia Cup so far elected to bat first, but Hong Kong decided to choose the other way. They put India to bat first. Despite losing the Indian captain early, Shikhar Dhawan and
built a solid partnership. Just when the momentum was completely shifting to India, Nawaz took the wicket of Rayudu who scored 60 off 70 balls. However, Dhawan didn't stop hitting bowlers all over the park and he reached to a magnificent hundred. With 15 fours and 2 sixes, his innings ended at 127. Hong Kong made a comeback in the came taking wickets in the last 10 overs specially the wicket of finisher
who was departed for a duck. But in the end Kedhar Jadhav's unbeaten 28 off 27 balls helped India to reach 285. In reply, what everyone saw was hard to believe. Openers Nizahat Khan (92) and Anshuman Rath (73) put 174 runs together in the opening stand. However, within the space of 1 run, Hong Kong lost both the set batsman. And eventually it started to end the dream for Hong Kong's historic win. The required rate kept climbing up and the men in red couldn't overcome. When all the Indian bowlers were expensive, Khaleel Ahmed made the difference and picked up 3 vital wickets to help India secure a 26-run win and escape an upset. Brief score: IND 285/7 (50 ov) | Dhawan 127, Rayudu 60 | Kinchit 3/39 HK 259/8 (50 ov) | Nizakat 92 | Khaleel 3/48, Chahal 3/46 Result: India won by 26 runs
