BCCI secretary Jay Shah said that the 2023 World Cup schedule will be announced at The Oval during the final of the World Test Championship. The board has made a list of more than a dozen possible venues in India, and the ICC will soon get the final list.

These remarks were given by Shah at a press conference following the BCCI's special general meeting in Ahmedabad, the venue of Sunday's IPL final. The BCCI has not yet finalized the itinerary for the World Cup, despite the fact that the competition is scheduled to begin in less than four months.

Shah said that the ICC will announce the ODI World Cup schedule after the upcoming Test Championship final between India and Australia.

In the meeting, he talked about the schedule of the World Cup. The BCCI has shortlisted 13 venues for the World Cup matches - Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Dharamshala, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Indore, Rajkot, Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram.

Apart from these, Pune and Nagpur are also under consideration. All in all, the schedule that has been released so far mentions that the tournament will start from October 5. ICC ODI World Cup will be held for 46 days. This 50-over World Cup will continue till November 19.

Meanwhile, To determine whether or not the hybrid model proposed by the PCB for the 2023 Asia Cup is viable, the ACC, of which Shah is president, would have an emergency meeting, he added. On Sunday, Shah will meet with the heads of cricket in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan to hear their thoughts on the Asia Cup.
