I do believe if I was here it would have been 4-0 to Australia: Lyon on last year's Ashes

Australia spinner Nathan Lyon has made a big claim that had he not been injured, Australia would have won the five-match Ashes Test series last year.
Unfortunately, Lyon hurt himself after the first two Tests. In the two matches played at Edgbaston and Lord's, the Australians emerged victorious. Following a two-wicket triumph in the first Test, the visitors went on to win the second Test by a margin of 43 runs.
Recently, during an interview with BBC Sport, Nathan Lyon delivered an impassioned statement in direct opposition to England, his archrivals. Lyon, who had contributed to victories at Edgbaston and Lord's, was subsequently ruled out of the remaining three Test matches as a result of the injury setback. This in some way hampered the Australians, who went on to lose every match following those two victories.
“I do believe if I was here it would have been 4-0 to Australia," Lyon told BBC Sport.
As a sign of respect for one of England's most formidable opponents, the home audience erupted in spine-chilling applause when Lyon was injured and subsequently withdrawn from the field.
"My wife, her parents and a good family friend were all in the crowd in tears. I probably didn't understand the level of respect that was shown there and then. That's something that I'm grateful to be able to look back on and reflect. I always thought the majority of England hates me,” Lyon said.
