Bangladesh opener Litton Das has been in horrendous form from a very long time. The stylish batter is finding it extremely difficult to get going. The current form of Litton has been so bad that questions were raised regarding his inclusion in the World Cup squad. However, the think tanks of BCB and David Hemp have kept their faith on Litton yet again.
Regarding the inconsistency of Liiton, Hemp strongly believes he is one knock away from returning to form.
"I've mentioned this last week. He's practicing well, training well in terms of his game and what he's working on. Again, he's also playing well in the nets. I know these nets are not the same as in the middle and sometimes you go through these lulls in output of runs. Like I said, we don't want to get in a phase.. Obviously we want all our players to be scoring runs as often as they can, but the reality is that doesn't happen all the time. So, it's more important that players are consistent in their preparation. So again, I think he's one innings away from turning that around and getting back to that consistency."
When asked regarding the horrible scoop which Litton tried in match 3, Hemp said, "Yeah, look, again, when you're out there in the middle, you make decisions based on what you think the ball is going to do. Obviously, with T20 cricket, the ball has lots of variations whether that be a yorker, pace off, bouncers and so everyone is trying to judge what's coming next or what is the type of bowling he think is coming next. Yes, he's obviously a strong driver, but he's also executed that ramp and I know he didn't do it on that occasion but the game before he did execute it and it forced the bowler to make a change. And that's why you play these different options as a batter."
