Bangladesh’s struggles in Test cricket have become a frustrating pattern—solid bowling efforts undone by underwhelming batting performances. The scenario often leaves the bowlers fighting hard to bring the team back into the game, only to be let down by the batting unit. Hasan Mahmud, one of Bangladesh’s emerging pace talents, is no exception to this frustration.
In the post-match press conference, Hasan reflected on the ongoing challenges faced by the team, especially their inability to convert bowling efforts into match-winning results. "It’s frustrating, but getting out is something we can’t control. What we can do is focus more, settle down properly, and bat with more concentration," Hasan said.
Despite the frequent setbacks, Hasan remains hopeful. "It’s natural to feel bad, but I truly believe we’ll bounce back. We always hope for a better day. We’re all confident that the batters will perform well, and we’ll put up scores that can win us matches. That’s the mindset we’re working with."
Hasan has quickly established himself as a dependable bowler for Bangladesh in all three formats. While he enjoys both red-ball and white-ball cricket, Test cricket presents unique challenges. "I’m enjoying the process, whether it's with the red ball or the white ball. My job is to bowl well and help the team win. I practice daily to improve my line and length, especially for the red-ball format," he added.
