Earlier, Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto won the toss and chose to bat first. Coming our to bat, they were seeing the new ball with Zakir and Joy both being cautious. Zakir however got our to Ajaz Patel on 12 off 41 deliveries. But Joy was determined. Skipper Shanto came with lots of positivity as he was smacking the Kiwis everywhere of the park.
Shanto reached to 37 off no time before a full toss from Glenn Phillips saw his wicket thrown away. Shanto scored a brisk 37 off 35.
Bangladesh test specialist batter Muminul Haque scored a gutsy 37 from 78 balls.
Mushfiqur Rahim failed to capitalise his chances as he fell on 12 off 22 balls. At the backend of the innings Nurul Hasan Sohan's blinder cameo of 29 from 28 balls helped Back score 310 after losing 9 wickets.
Spinners came as fruitful for New Zealand. Ajaz Patel got two wickets, while part timer Glenn Phillips dismissed 4 batters of Bangladesh and forced them to feel bother. Paceman Kyle Jamieson had 2 wickets in his bag. And leg spinner Ish Sodhi picked up 1 wicket.
