The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced that opening batter Fakhar Zaman will be rehabilitated in London.
The Pakistan Cricket Board announced it would fly left-hander Fakhar Zaman to London on September 16 (tomorrow) to undergo rehabilitation, the board said in a statement on Thursday.
“Fakhar had an unfortunate landing on his right knee while performing during the ACC T20 Asia Cup Finals in Dubai. As per protocols, the PCB has scheduled his medical appointments with specialists who will provide him with the best medical care for his rehabilitation," the statement read.
"While in London, the PCB will make all relevant logistical arrangements for Fakhar and he will remain under the supervision of the PCB Advisory Panel, which includes Dr. Imtiaz Ahmad and Dr. Zafar Iqbal who are also treating Shaheen Shah Afridi,” he added in the PCB statement released late Thursday night.

Commenting on fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi's progress during rehabilitation, the PCB said he has made excellent progress and is on track to make a full recovery ahead of the T20 World Cup in Australia.
The Pakistani opener will remain under the supervision of the PCB Advisory Panel, which includes Dr. Imtiaz Ahmad and Dr. belonging to Zafar Iqbal. The board will make all relevant logistic arrangements for the batter.
The panel is also said to be treating Shaheen Shah Afridi already for knee problems.
PCB updated on the progress of Shaheen Shah Afridi's rehabilitation and said the pacemaker was making "excellent progress in his rehabilitation in London". The statement said Shaheen is on track to "fully recover in time for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Australia 2022".
Following allegations by veteran cricketer Shahid Afridi about the board's negligence in Shaheen's rehabilitation, the board clarified that the PCB has always been, and will continue to be, responsible for arranging the medical care and rehabilitation of any of its players who require treatment.
