Pakistan has finally returned to the winning streak in the World Cup. After losing four matches in a row, Pakistan picked up their third win in their seventh match. Babar Azam's team won by 7 wickets against Bangladesh.

Batting earlier in the match, Bangladesh scored 204 runs with the help of Mahmudullah Riyad’s half-century. Shakib Al Hasan and Litton Das played two forty-plus innings. However, this run of Bangladesh could not trouble Pakistan in any way. Pakistan chased the target with 7 wickets and 105 balls in hand.

After the match, the hero of Pakistan's victory, Fakhar Zaman, said the reason for wanting to finish the match quickly. He has no regrets even though he missed out on his century for the sake of the team. In the post-match press conference, Fakhar said, “The situation we are in at the moment, so we were looking to chase it like in 28, 29 overs, so that's why I was just going. Otherwise, it was very easy for me to get to the 100 after 50, but our goal was to achieve the target within like 30 or 29 overs.”

Fakhar added, “In the World Cup, each win gives you confidence and we were waiting for this win. We are on the ifs and buts right now -  but we will try to win both the matches with good run rates. Our target is the semi-final and we will try for that.”

Pakistan's next match is on November 4 against New Zealand. The match will start at 11 am Bangladesh time.
