The BCCI said on Friday, March 23 that it is inviting applications for the role of Spin Bowling Coach at the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru

The Spin Bowling Coach: Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has declared that it will be accepting applications for the post of Spin Bowling Coach in its Centre of Excellence (COE) in Bengaluru. Eligible applicants may submit their applications by 5:00 PM on April 10.

The BCCI announced that this role will be pivotal for the identification and strengthening of India's spin bowling talent in all formats and age groups, including the Indian senior national teams (men's and women's), the Indian senior, U-23, U-19, U-16, and U-15 teams, and the national association players training in the Centre of Excellence.

The spin bowling coach would closely collaborate with the Head Cricket of the BCCI COE for designing and implementing specialized training programs and in performance monitoring. The position would also entail close association with selectors, national and state coaches, performance analysts, and strength and conditioning specialists to formulate high-performance training programs.

The BCCI further stated the spin bowling coach's main duties will be to design and conduct training sessions for cricket teams at the COE, deliver one-on-one technical coaching to players when necessary, create and track individual player performance plans with quantifiable goals.

The successful applicant will also be required to work alongside other specialist coaches, selectors, and support personnel to identify and nurture talented spin bowlers, apply the use of new technologies such as GPS-enabled equipment and biomechanical analysis to raise the level of player performance, and assist injury rehabilitation programs and certify players as fit to play.

Experience and qualifications for the position are that the individual should be an erstwhile India or first-class cricketer having a minimum of 75 First Class matches with an impeccable cricket coaching record of at least 3 years (in the previous 7 years) at a high-performance centre/International/India A/India U-19/India Women/IPL team.

The desired candidate can also be a BCCI COE Level 3 Performance Coach (or equivalent) with an exceptional cricket coaching record for at least 3 years (within the last 7 years) with a High-Performance Centre/International/India A/India U-19/India Women/IPL/State team.

Experience and qualifications requirements for the position are that the candidate must be a past India or first-class cricketer with a minimum of 75 First Class matches and a top-notch record of cricket coaching for at least 3 years (during the last 7 years) with a high-performance centre/International/India A/India U-19/India Women/IPL team.
