Speaking at the post-match press conference, Tamim said, "People often say Barishal is a big-budget team. But credit must go to the franchise for signing six ‘A’ category players. Other teams had the same opportunity, but they didn’t take it. We did, for two reasons—belief and respect for the players.

“This franchise is amazing. The owner never interferes in cricketing decisions. He gave me complete freedom to make the calls. Mushfiqur Rahim also deserves a lot of credit. Off the field, I handled the management—making sure players got their payments, logistics were taken care of—while Mushfiqur focused on the on-field performance. The CEO has done an outstanding job as well."

When asked whether this championship was significant for the Barishal region, Tamim responded, "Absolutely! This is huge for Barishal. In the last four to five years, they only made one final. But they didn’t perform consistently. Many Barishal fans are in Dhaka, especially in Mirpur, so winning this trophy was special for them.

“The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) should respect franchises like this. When people like Barishal’s owner invest in cricket and run teams professionally, it helps the growth of Bangladesh cricket."

They made three final appearances in the last four seasons and won back-to-back titles, Fortune Barishal are emerging as a true powerhouse in BPL history. If they continue their dominance, they could soon be recognized as one of the most successful teams in the tournament’s history.
