One of Bangladesh's best players, Mahmudullah Riyad, is leaving the game after announcing his retirement from One Day Internationals (ODIs). While Mahmudullah had already stopped playing in Tests and T20s, his 18-year international career is now finally over. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) thanked him very much for his work and acknowledged how he had helped the national team.
In an official statement, BCB acknowledged Mahmudullah’s stellar career, stating, "The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) extends its heartfelt appreciation to Md Mahmudullah for his exceptional contributions to the Bangladesh team. The seasoned campaigner announced his retirement from international cricket on Wednesday, bringing an illustrious 18-year career to a close."

Highlighting Mahmudullah’s ability to perform in crucial moments, the BCB President further stated, " “Mahmudullah earned a reputation as one of Bangladesh’s most dependable performers in crucial moments. Whether with the bat or ball, he delivered when it mattered most. His calm demeanor in challenging circumstances and his leadership on the field cemented his status as one of the most respected figures in the history of Bangladesh cricket."
