Mehedi Hasan Miraz was the youngest member of Bangladesh squad in the just concluded ICC Champions Trophy 2017 in
and Wales. But he didn't get much chance to show his worth in the tournament.

prior to the commencement of the tournament, Miraz's performance was nothing extraordinary. Then because of the team combination, Miraz got to play just one of Bangladesh's four matches in the Champions Trophy. That match against Australia too got washed out due to rain.
Overall, this Champions Trophy, no matter how significant it was for Bangladesh as a whole team by reaching the semifinals, was nothing special for Miraz as an individual.
Still Miraz says he is not at all concerned about his not getting enough match playing opportunity. "I am not much worried about it. Maybe I could get to play more matches if the tournament was held in our home conditions.
"Still it was a great learning curve for me, and all the younger players of the team. This was a lifetime experience for all of us. This was something that we would be cherishing for a long time. In the days to come, we can get a lot to take from these memories."
Bangladesh's next assignment will be the two-match Test series against Australia in August this year. The last time Bangladesh played a Test match, it was the their historic 100th Test match against
in Colombo, and the Tigers made it memorable by picking up a great victory.
Miraz thinks Bangladesh will go all guns blazing in their next series against Australia as well, and try to win it. "We are now growing up as a team. Now we can not only win one-day matches, but we can win Tests as well. And we have proved that in Sri Lanka. So when we will be playing Australia, surely we will be looking to win.
"Winning a Test match against Australia will not be that easy. Still we will try our best. We are now more confident than ever. So you never know. Maybe we can even win the Test series against Australia if we can keep up our consistency and put up our best performance against them."
