Afghanistan's first double centurion Shahidi highlights day two

Hashmatullah Shahidi has become the first player from Afghanistan to hit a double hundred in Test cricket. He achieved the feat during the second day of the second Test against Zimbabwe in Abu Dhabi.

Into three years of Test cricket, Afghanistan have a double century-maker and a pair adding 300-plus runs.
Shahidi's 443-ball 200* runs took Afghanistan to their highest-ever Test total - 545/4 in 160.4 overs. He struck 21 fours and a six in his innings.
Skipper Asghar Afghan, who also hit a century, declared the innings after Shahidi reached the 200-run mark. Asghar and Shahidi put on 307 runs for the fourth-wicket, Afghanistan's highest partnership for any wicket.
