India middle-order batter Suryakumar Yadav praised Abhishek Sharma for his incredible century on Sunday (July 7) against Zimbabwe.

India thrashed Zimbabwe by 100 runs on Sunday (7th July). Abhishek Sharma's sensational hundred, Ruturaj Gaikwad’s outstanding innings, and a late blitz from Rinku Singh helped India post a mammoth 234 on the board. In reply, Mukesh Kumar and Avesh Khan both shared 3 wickets each to rip through Zimbabwe's batting lineup.

Abhishek Sharma, the youthful opening batter who had been out for a duck the previous game which India lost by 13 runs, found his rhythm and went on to score his first-ever century for his country. Abhishek scored 100 runs from 47 balls with 7 fours and 8 sixes.

Praising the batter, Suryakumar wrote in a post on X, “Abhishek Sharma is batting like a WOW. Game changer.”

He also gave Ruturaj Gaikwad a ton of praise. He batted third and did a superb job of being Abhishek's second fiddle. After that, he was able to step up the tempo and end with a score of 77 in 47 balls, which helped the Indian side set a goal of surpassing 200 runs. “Ruturaj Gaikwad Pure Class,” said Suryakumar in another post on X.

At the same venue, India will return to action on Wednesday when they play Zimbabwe in the third T20 International of the series. On Saturday and Sunday, the contest's last two matches will take place.
